Yesterday, Referee Karl Hess pulled one of the most
ridiculous stunts I have ever seen in college basketball: He ejected two of the
greatest players in the history of N.C. State's program who were sitting
courtside. Gugliotta and Corchiani
argued with Hess for a few seconds before leaving with chants of "ref you
suck" from the N.C. State student section echoing in the background.
Great quote from Corchiani: "Karl"rabbit
ears" Hess didn't like the fact Googs and I told him he was having a bad
day, inconsistent, and telling the truth."
